How reports, credits, renewals, and upgrades work

What is an AI Research Report?
An AI Research Report is a Valarn-generated research run on a stock. Free gets 1 Basic Report per month. Starter and higher use research credits — Standard Reports use 2 credits, Deep Debate starts at 3, and premium model boosts use additional credits.
How many AI analysts are included?
It depends on your plan and report type. Basic Reports use 3 AI agents — 2 specialist analysts (Market and News) plus 1 review agent that writes the research view. Standard Reports use up to 10 AI agents — 6 specialist analysts (Market, Fundamentals, News, Sentiment, Sector, Catalyst) plus 4 debate & review agents (Bull Case, Bear Case, Risk Manager, Stock Reviewer). Deep Debate Reports use 16 AI agents on Pro (12 specialist analysts + 4 debate & review agents) and up to 25 on Pro+ (21 specialist analysts + 4 debate & review agents). Pro adds Insider Activity, Short Interest, Macro, Analyst Consensus, Event Timeline, and Thesis Stress Testing on top of the Starter base. Pro+ further adds Earnings, Valuation, SEC Filings, Peer Comparison, Options Flow, Sector Rotation, Red Flag, Capital Allocation, and Quality Moat.
Do research credits roll over?
Monthly credits included with your subscription do not roll over. Any unused monthly credits reset at the beginning of your next monthly usage period. Additional credits purchased separately do roll over month to month and remain available until used or until they expire 12 months after their individual purchase date.
What happens to my additional credits when my monthly credits reset?
Nothing. Additional credits are separate from your monthly plan allowance and remain in your account. Only your included monthly credits reset.
Do additional credits unlock Pro or Pro+ features?
No. Additional credits increase how much research you can run, but your subscription determines which report types, analysts, AI models, and platform features you can access.
Can I refund additional credits?
Unused credit packs may be refunded within 14 days of the individual purchase. Once any credits from that pack are used, or the 14-day refund period has ended, the purchase is non-refundable except where required by law.
Are AI model costs included?
Yes. AI provider costs are included in your Valarn subscription within your plan limits. You do not need your own API keys unless you are on an Enterprise plan using BYOK or private model options.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel from your account settings at any time. You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No cancellation fees.

Which AI providers are available?
Available providers depend on your plan. Starter uses default AI routing with providers such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, and DeepSeek. Pro adds model preferences and additional options such as Grok. Pro+ adds premium model access within plan limits, including Claude Opus and DeepSeek R1 premium reasoning. Team adds admin-controlled model access. Enterprise supports contracted provider access, BYOK options, and local/private model support such as Ollama deployments.
