US State Privacy Rights

Last updated: August 18, 2026

This notice describes privacy rights available to residents of US states that have enacted consumer-privacy laws, and how to exercise them at Valarn. It supplements our Privacy Policy. California residents should also see our California Privacy Notice.

Who this covers

Depending on where you live, these rights may apply under laws such as those of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Delaware, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, and Minnesota, and other states as their laws take effect. The exact rights and thresholds vary by state.

Your rights

  • Access / know — request the personal data we hold about you.
  • Delete — request deletion of your personal data.
  • Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Portability — obtain a copy in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Opt out — of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. Valarn does not sell your personal data.
  • Non-discrimination — we will not deny service or charge you differently for exercising these rights.

How to exercise them

  • Access & portability — use Settings → Privacy & Your Data → Download my data for an instant machine-readable export.
  • Deletion — use Settings → Danger Zone → Delete my account.
  • Correction or any other request — email privacy@valarn.com or legal@valarn.com.

We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by your state's law. You may use an authorized agent where the law permits. If we decline a request, several states give you the right to appeal — instructions will be included in our response.

Opt-out preference signals

Where required, we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out of targeted advertising and any sale/sharing of personal data.
